Brief history
The Bartow Community Service Center began as the Church Service Center in 1966 as a 501 C3 non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of individuals and families in the Bartow community. Through community support the BCSC provides some of life’s basic needs: food assistance, clothing, hot meals, hygiene, and household supplies. Additionally, the BCSC offers assistance with utility and rental assistance, housing, financial education, and many other services.

BEHIND THE LOGO
Jesus said in John 10:10, “I came to give life…life to the fullest.” The Bartow Community Service Center exists to meet the needs of those in crisis and to point our neighbors to live in Christ. While EPIC stands for Empower People Inspiring Change, it has a much deeper meaning. The logo colors in the E, blue and green represent God, Emmanuel, because God is with us and provides the foundation for life, growth,
and new beginnings. God is the one who not only walks with us through crisis, He leads us to grow through crisis and helps us get a fresh start. The E and C in Epic have a double meaning. These letters remind us that the Bartow CSC partners with Churches that Encourages others to experience life through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
